    Description

A professional thermal imager for building and services diagnostics. Use it to find heat leaks, damp areas, thermal bridges and overheating electrical connections. The standard lens covers whole façades and close-up details from 10 cm; images can be analysed in testo IRSoft to produce a report.

The camera uses a 160 × 120 pixel sensor, and the SuperResolution function in the software increases image detail to 320 × 240. A thermal sensitivity below 50 mK means even small temperature differences show up, such as poorly insulated corners or moisture under finishes. The measuring range can be switched: the lower one suits buildings, the higher one heating equipment and electrical panels. A normal photo is saved together with each thermogram, so the report shows exactly where the image was taken.

    Where it helps

    • Building energy audits and heat loss surveys
    • Locating underfloor heating pipes and leaks
    • Checking windows, doors and joints for air tightness
    • Finding damp areas and mould risk zones
    • Spotting overheating in electrical panels and connections
    • Servicing heating and ventilation equipment
