    Description

A capture hood (balometer) for balancing and commissioning ventilation systems. Place the hood over a grille or diffuser and the micromanometer shows the air volume in m³/h straight away, for both supply and extract. It is light enough for one person, and readings can be stored and transferred to a PC.

The kit includes a 610 × 610 mm hood, a detachable micromanometer, a Pitot probe and static pressure probes, so one set covers both grilles and ducts. The instrument detects the flow direction itself and compensates for the back pressure created by the hood, so the reading stays close to the real value.

    Where it helps

    • Balancing ventilation systems to design
    • Commissioning measurements and reports
    • Checking supply and extract grilles
    • Air volume checks in offices, schools and flats
    • Duct flow measurement with a Pitot probe
